If you get a surfboard for Christmas and think that by February you're going to be diving into this section, then I don't want to be the wet blanket. You're taking on the world's most difficult sport.

Don't believe me?
Okay, if you persisted for ten years at learning the guitar, horse riding, even studying to be a doctor you'd get to a fairly decent level of expertise. You could surf for ten years and never really get it. Twenty bucks doesn't buy you time on the court to practice over and over. The surf is crowded and then you've got to find a wave that works for certain maneuvers, let alone a similar section to let you perfect a turn. But without challenges life is a series of worthless events and this book is here to challenge the challenges. And by now you're probably infected. How good is this?
